About the Presenters: 
Dr. Marinda Peters (she/ella) is a Civil Rights Specialist at the Oregon Department of Education (ODE).  In her role, Marinda specializes in rights and obligations under Title VI, Section 504, and Title II. She comes from 17 years of working in public education as a Professional School Counselor, Behavior Coach and 504 Coordinator. Marinda has an MA in Counseling Psychology from Pacific University and earned her PhD in Counseling in 2017 from Oregon State University. 

Kate Hildebrandt (she/her) is a Civil Rights and Title IX Specialist at the Oregon Department of Education. She has spent more than 10 years working in Title IX compliance at the K-12 and college level in Oregon, Ohio, and Texas, with previous experience in violence prevention, crisis response, and international public health. Kate has a BA in Women’s Studies from Rice University and an MA in Higher Education Administration from The Ohio State University.
