Call For Presentors & Proposals

The Oregon Association for Comprehensive Education (OACE) is seeking presentations and proposals for our 2018 Conference.  Your participation is invited.  

If you would like to be considered to present a breakout session, host a booth/table, speak in a plenary session, or otherwise participate in the conference, please contact us.
With a focus on serving special populations, the annual OACE conference attracts attendees from around Oregon.  Perfect for educators, administrators and parents, OACE provides learning and networking opportunities in the areas of 
  • Bilingual Education
  • Migrant Education
  • Special Education
  • And more.​
​The Oregon Association for Comprehensive Education (OACE) was founded in 1992 with the goal of supporting school leaders, teachers, parents, paraprofessionals and others and providing timely and relevant information about developments and requirements to title programming, special education, and more.

Conference organizers are seeking proposals related to one of these areas:
  • Accountability
  • Interventions and Supports for Struggling Students
  • College and Career Readiness
  • Evaluating and Rewarding Effective Teachers
  • Pre-K Education
  • Parent and Community Engagement
  • Teacher and Leader Evaluation and Support Systems,
  • Wrap-Around Support Systems for Vulnerable Communities,
  • Trauma-Informed Practices,
  • Culturally Responsive Pedagogy and Practices
  • and more!

If you are working with educators, students and/or parent and community members to promote equitable and inclusive teaching and learning environments where each student receives what they need to be successful, we encourage you to submit an application form to present. This year’s OACE conference will focus on delivering workshops that will highlight many of the above areas – emphasizing strategies and techniques that educators and parents can use to help every student achieve!

About the Conference
OACE’s annual conference individuals from around the state who have an interest in comprehensive education for all students. Past conferences have enjoyed more than 300 participants from around Oregon as well as the world. Keynote speakers, workshops, exhibitors, vendors, and pre- and post-conference symposia highlight this three-day event.

Who should attend
Individuals or organizations with a desire to connect with school leaders, teachers, parents and others should attend.

Presentation Requirements
Presentations are sought in English, Spanish and Bilingual format. The following requirements are in place to ensure the seamless delivery of content to attendees.
  • Presenters must provide all materials (handouts, slideshows, etc) for each language in which they intend to present.
  • Presenters must complete the entire application accurately, and include all requested materials in the appropriate language.
  • Agree to our terms (see our website for details.)
  • Presentation proposals are due Oct 31.
