Dr. Maria Chavez-Haroldson is an international/national trainer and organizational development consultant. She has served as a thinking partner and strategist for academic institutions, state agencies, and non-profit organizations. Maria’s expertise addresses the complexities which exist within Equity, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI) and institutional development, and the powerful impact they have on education and society. Maria is a member of the Higher Education Coordinating Commission’s Equity Committee, Oregon State University’s Courageous Conversations, and a Grants Committee member of the Benton Community Foundation which awards scholarships to students. She served as Director of the Office of Inclusion & Intercultural Relations for Oregon Youth Authority. She obtained her Bachelor’s degree in Human Sciences, and two Master’s Degrees: Public Administration and, Leadership and Change - her Ph.D. is in Leadership and Change (Organizational Development). Maria’s prior experiences include: serving as Associate Director for the Center for Latin@ Studies and Engagement at Oregon State University; Executive Director for CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocates); Director of Crime Victim Unit for the Yamhill County Attorney’s Office; Adjunct-Faculty with Center of Western Attorney General and, Qualified Mental Health Professional in Yamhill County, Oregon. |
